Taking Sides

I would have thought when I’m the people I loved, respected and trust this would not have happen? Somehow this is never true and time and time again I was ask to decide and participate in worthless conflicts that provide useless victories and shameful losses.

I guess some people just could not take it to themselves to grow up and fight their own fights by themselves. Alone.

I just want your extra time and your......KISS

A Man had to be resuscitated with oxygen by a first aid team so he could marry his Girlfriend. Ain't Valentines day sweet?

Valentine's day is over. Though many people decided to just dismissed the day as it's a day where florist/candy houses/ restaurants roam the streets and newspapers with ads urging people to buy their products at double or to some extent quadraple of the normal day 'price' all in the name of love.

Haha! Well Valentines Day is really a celebration of true love, nothing but love. Most probably the only time The Black Eye Peas didn't have to have to work too hard searching for love!

I've spent my Valentine with a nice Pasta dinner. I know Singles will hate me for this but it is nice to spend Valentine's Day with somebody. The Restaurant wasn't fancy nor overly expensive, neither of us took the Valentines special. So it was normal pricing, a bit of a queue though when we arrived, but we're not rushing or anything so after a 15 minutes wait we were seated. There we are having dinner and I was wearing slippers while my girlfriend was wearing shorts! After all of that guess what? She paid for dinner!. Blip ain't no gentlemen eh? I think a lot of people is associating Valentines Day with spending exorbitant amout of money, a simple one however doesn't make it less memorable.

I know Valentines day is taking a lot of heat as the years go by. They say Valentines day is when couples pose for love, buy expensive stuff, expensive dinner, the works. Why should there be a special day for love when you could love that someone the same if not more everyday?

My say? Valentines day is a day of triumph. A day when a normal man did something for love and was not afraid of the consequences. He was bold enough to take on the powers of hate with the strenght of his pure heart. Not many of us would do things out of our way for someone we love or something we believe in.

I believe St. Valentines reminded us of what we could be and how love could overcome hate, that alone is a good reason to celebrate his triumph. He did not win the fight that day but today Valentines Day is celebrated all over the world and is not bounded by race or religion. It's universal.

Happy Valentines day. All you need is love, love is all you need.

Out of Time

And you’ve been so busy lately
That you haven’t found the time
To open up your mind
And watch the world spinning gently out of time
Tell me I’m not dreaming
But are we out of time

Taken from Out of Time from Think Tank by Blur

I can't remember the last time I cried like a small boy. As I walk away from my grandfather's grave I could not imagine that I won't be seeing him again. I can't remember being this sad. This is the first death I had to deal with of whom I feel has influenced my life so much. He was 96. I don't think I'll live that long. No way.

I chatted with one of my friends last week. Apparently one of my other close friend lost his mother, while the other lost his father, while one schoolmate whom I've never had a close relationship ended his life in a fatal a road accident.

Reality struck. You need this type of situation to put you into perspective. People whom I hope/thought I’d be seeing again are gone. They are not immortal as I foolishly have thought they would be, always around day after day. I'll be gone too one day and that's a fact.

Gone.

This has made me realised how time is precious. I'm quite surprised with myself I could let time slipped away without doing anything benificial to me or to someone else. I just let it go by.. away. How could I've been so careless?

I started the New Year with no resolutions. I've never had one because it's plain ridiculous, I'll never achieve any. However now I have a resolution, not a yearly one but a lifetime resolution.

I starting to realise how time is precious therefore I'll try my best to spend it to the fullest as much I possibly can.

Do you have anything planned today?
Between you and me, we’re all running out of time...
