Roll me over, roll over me

It's one of those Mondays you dreaded that you ever waking up to.

Yes it's those kind of Monday. An envelope of greeting injected some life into it but what I really need now is really some humour to pick myself again.

Oh well at least tommorow is a holiday.

Happy Deepavali guys.

Morning Learnings

A bouquet of flowers in the morning on a straight woman's desk will drive her crazy. In a safe happy kinda way.

I wonder what not so straight woman would prefer?

For a guy I don't mind getting one of these on my desk early in the morning

Stop Complaining about the increase in oil prices

Instead complain more about the public transport system that we have!

In reality the oil prices will always increase, and stop saying that this is due the fault of the government. You might be able to debate that but remember in the end they can't really do anything about it and it's not exactly a good move to keep popular votes by raising oil prices.

The price will rise and judging that it is actually possible that oil price can actually hit the $100 per barrel mark then it is possible it will be about RM7 worth to fill up my workhorse. Judging by my travel expenses that would be about 3 fill ups a week which is RM21 so that makes it RM84 a month alone or USD$22 a month on petrol for a small bike!!

Imagine if you're stuck with a 2 tank Jaguar. You might end up having to sell your parents just to ensure that the car has gas to run on!

The point is the only way people can actually travel anywhere within the right cost is to have good public transport in place.

The current LRT, ERL, Bus system obviously does not cut it at all.

As at this point of time could you believe it that there is no direct buses/LRT/ERL from USJ/Subang Jaya to Cyberjaya?

I remembered standing at the roadside in USJ at 6:30 p.m waiting for a bus. After an hour I settled for a taxi, that nevertheless was the only taxi that would actually stop for me and charged a hefty RM10 for a ride to Taman Jaya's LRT station.

There is not enough points for people to get anywhere efficiently from Subang Jaya to Cyberjaya, and this we're talking about a township which actually contributes in making it's municipal one of the richest compared to other municipals.

What I'm saying is USJ/Subang Jaya obviously contain a good amount of qualified Executives that contributes economically and have good potential in contributing in Cyberjaya. If they find paying RM4 of toll to expensive especially when they have to drive 30+ km with oil prices not getting any cheaper to get to their workplace then they won't be coming to Cyberjaya anytime soon.

I'm sure there are a lot of other places in various states that suffer from this problem and I feel it's a valid issue that should be tabled in Parliament rather than the now boring AP issue.

I don't think we all need cheap new cars. What we really need is efficient public transport.

p.s Good read: "Raise the Prices" I totally agree, get cars off the jam and more people to work on time.
